Dear Church Family,
This has been quite a week to say the least! As you know Kansas City is experiencing an Arctic blast that has included sub zero temperatures and the most snow since 1989.
Yes, it has been a week of frustration for all of us: longer, more stressful computes to work, negotiating snow packed streets, shoveling driveways and sidewalks in order to function. Probably, the only ones who have enjoyed this much snow are the students missing a week of school and the snow removal people making extra money.
With that said, this weather has played havoc with our services for two weeks. I want to remind you that the "majority" of the time we will have services, but this has been unprecedented. If you have any doubt please check the television, our website (brbt.org) or call the church for any cancellation. It will be listed by 3:00pm on Wednesday or 6:30 am on Sunday. My main concern is none of our people are placed in harm’s ways coming to church.
According to the report for this Sunday, we will begin the day pretty cold, but a "warming trend" will begin by late morning. A balmy 23 degrees is forecasted. Sure hope to see you at either our Creekmoor or Blue Ridge campus. Remember to pray for God’s continued blessings on our church both spiritually and financially.
Your faithfulness in supporting us with your presence and giving will insure that we continue serving God in 2010. You’re loved and appreciated.
Stay warm,
Pastor Bill
