Dear Church Family,

The last Sunday of January 2010 was amazing. Both of our campuses met at Blue Ridge filling the auditorium with anticipation and excitement. We were not disappointed as Joel and Ginger Millermon’s journey of trials and God’s faithfulness was well received. They reminded us “that nothing is impossible with God.” During the invitation, many people laid burdens at the feet of their Savior including two teenagers who started a new life in Christ. That was just the beginning for the Boren family.

For several hours that afternoon I found myself at St. Luke’s Hospital awaiting the arrival of our 9th grandchild. Kelly, Earl, and Vivian were in the delivery room while I waited! Finally, grandma came swiftly down the hall with a big smile on her face. He is here! What a miracle! Yes, little Ayden Jonathan Boren had been delivered safely. After an appropriate amount of time for the new mom, dad, and baby we were invited into the room. Of course grandma wanted to hold him first! Then following some instructions about the preciousness of her new grandson and how I should hold him, it was Pa Pa’s turn. Grandma had her camera posed, lights flashed, and it was obvious that Ayden wasn’t wild about his picture being taken because he blinked his eyes! I told him, get use to it because that’s what grandma’s do...especially in this family!” I am sure grandma will have a few pictures this Sunday for those of you who are interested! Needless to say, we are rejoicing and are grateful for your prayers. Pray for Kelly, Earl, and Landon adjusting to this new little one in their lives.

A brief reminder to all of our men, be sure to attend our Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, February 6, at our Blue Ridge campus. We will begin at 8:00 a.m. The morning will include delicious food, a few testimonies, and a time of focusing on prayer. All this for a meager $3.00. Please take an hour out of your Saturday for this important time for you and our church.

God’s presence and power certainly have been evident in our services. This Sunday, February 7, I will continue the series on Forgiveness at the Creekmoor Campus. At Blue Ridge we are journeying through John’s gospel. Come praying that God would use the message to speak to everyone’s heart.

Just an Old Pa Pa Pastor,
Pastor Bill
